This run does have a few technical flaws: * About fifteen seconds were lost in childhood when learning to shoot Striders. Someday I'll figure out how this tutorial works. * At least five seconds of overworld movement could have been better. I got a false start up the first mountain, and got a little lost on the second mountain. * The second Thunderjaw was not especially cooperative. Another five seconds, maybe ten seconds, could have been saved here. * I am still bad at menus, totaling maybe five or fewer seconds of loss. My best possible sum of segments is 25:33, fifty seconds faster; thirty-five seconds could definitely have been saved. I don't think I can take this route below 25 minutes, and I'm probably not going to try again for a while. I think that this is about as fast as I can go with this route. Childhood was good and Proving was decent. My foraging started out so bad that I was thinking of restarting the run on my way to the first power cell. However, I got a boar to the face, and ended up with an extra Fast Travel Pack! I need to learn Elk's weird jump into GAIA Prime via the front door. I have never gotten it, even in practice, although I've fallen and died a lot. Steppin' on the peak is fun, but slow. This was not the worst Strider, but it had its moments. After Zeta, Aloy fast-travels back to the gates and heads to Rho and finally Xi. Current top runs are SRXZ, saving Zeta for last. I propose something different: * After Sigma, do the glitch jump on the northern gate * Go directly to Zeta * Fast-travel from Zeta's antechamber to near Rho Manual timing and a bit of graph theory tells me that this should reliably save over three minutes, maybe three and a half minutes in travel time alone. Xi is not any slower to complete than Zeta since we can fast-travel from Zeta before the door opens. My execution here was too poor to nitpick. Striders are an eternal struggle. I tried to find Sigma without a map and missed it. The Thunderjaw in Zeta and Snapmaw in Rho were both slow.
